Italian almond biscuits Amaretti

  • 200 g unpeeled almonds
  • 150 g sugar
  • 60 g flour
  • 4 pcs egg whites
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 10 ml Amaretto liquour



Preheat the oven at 180º С.

Put the almonds and 1/3 of the sugar in a blender and mix until you get a fine mixture.

Whip the egg whites to soft peaks with the rest of the sugar.

Combine flour, egg whites and Amaretto. Mix well all ingredients.

Make small balls of dough with wet hands and place them on a tray with wax paper.

Press with a fork and bake for 15 min until become golden. Set aside to cool down.
