Chef Rumen Popov graduated in the Technical School of Bread and Pastry Products in 1988.
In 1990 he started work in Sheraton Hotel Sofia as a pastry cook. He specialized with Wilhelm Hendl – Pastry Chef in Sheraton Hotel in Vienna and Central Pale Ferstahl café – 1996.
He worked in Sheraton Hotel Sofia till 2002, mastering his abilities in the production of bread, french and danish breakfast, ice-cream, cakes, desserts, petitfours, pies and catering sweets.
Guests in Sheraton hotel at that time were king Juan Carlos of Spain, queen Beathrix of Netherlands, the president of The United States Bill Clinton, chancellor of Germany Helmut Khol and many others.
In 2000 together with Radi Stambolov, he started a co-business with the Gavrosh trade mark.
Rumen Popov is a member of Euro-Toques Bulgaria since its establishment.
